You don’t need to spend hours or even minutes to improve your mood or productivity. Sometimes, all it takes is just five minutes to complete a task that’s been on your mind.
So, what can you do in the next 5 minutes to make your life better? It could be something as simple as answering an email that you’ve been dreading or booking an appointment with your doctor. Or maybe it’s organizing your downloads folder, putting away the dishes, or tracking your progress towards a goal.
It might even be spending a few minutes in quiet reflection or writing a post on LinkedIn. The point is, it doesn’t have to be a big task – just something that has an impact on you.
I know that when your schedule is busy and your to-do list feels never-ending, it can be hard to find time for the little things. But these small actions can have a major impact on how you feel and how you show up in the world.
The best part is that these little things often take less time than we think. And they don’t have to be scheduled into your calendar – you can do them during spare moments throughout your day.
So, what would happen if you made space to do one little thing your future self would thank you for every hour or two throughout your day? Over time, those little actions can build momentum and create a feeling of peace and balance in your life. This is what I call self-care.
Remember, it’s not about finding the perfect task or the most impactful action. Just choose something that has an impact for you, and do it. Your future self will thank you.
